In plain terms

Product links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, Amazon pays this site a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same — the commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not your pocket.

That is the only way this site makes money. There is no display advertising, no newsletter sponsorship, no paid guest posts and no sponsored content.

What we will not do

  • Accept payment for a recommendation. No manufacturer has paid to appear here, been given copy approval, or seen a review before publication.
  • Recommend something we have not used. See how we test.
  • Hide the negative. Every product page on this site lists what to watch as well as what works, and several pages tell you not to buy things.
  • Display prices. Amazon requires displayed prices to come from their Product Advertising API and be refreshed within 24 hours. Rather than show figures that may be wrong, our buttons take you to the live listing.
  • Use fake urgency. No countdown timers, no invented stock levels, no 'price about to rise'. If you see any of that on a site recommending garden products, close the tab.

Because TOPBUXUS is the company packaging Bacillus thuringiensis in domestic quantities, dosed for box, and selling it in the UK. That is a narrow market and they largely have it to themselves. It is not a commercial relationship — we have never spoken to them.

Where their products are not worth buying, this site says so: the Health-Mix review is explicit that it is a feed and not a fungicide, and that a healthy hedge does not need it.
